Dining

All full and part-time students at Springfield College are eligible to purchase a meal plan. Students who reside in residence halls without in-suite kitchen facilities are required to purchase the 14 Meal Plan or higher. The plans can be used at The Fresh Food Company in Cheney Hall, the Cafe, Locklin Hall Coffee Shoppe, Allied Snack Shop, Pride's Den Store, Campus Concessions, the Convenience Store. Here are some important features of the Meal Plan to keep in mind.

Weekly Meals
The meal allowance let's you enjoy "all you care to eat" dining for the breakfast, lunch and dinner meal periods at the Fresh Food Company in Cheney Hall. You receive a set number of meals per week, based on the meal plan you select, unless you have selected the 200 Block Meal Plan or the Unlimited Meal Plan. When you eat at the Fresh Food Company in Cheney Hall, a meal is reduced from your weekly meal balance. You may use one meal per meal period, unless you select the Unlimited Meal Plan. Choose your dining membership based on your eating habits and schedule. The 19, 14, 7, and 3 Meal Plans reset each week on Thursday morning. The 200 Block Meal Plan terminates at the end of each semester.

Declining Dollars
All of the dining plans offer Declining Dollars (DD), which are accepted like cash in all of our dining locations. Declining Dollars function using the same concept as a debit card. Whenever you buy food items on campus using this option, the total amount of your purchase will be subtracted from your Declining Dollars and you may add Declining Dollars to your account at any time.
*Your unused DD transfer from your Fall Meal Plan to your Spring Meal Plan. At the end of the Spring semester any unused DD are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to the new academic year.
*Any Add-On Dollars remaining at the end of the Spring semester are 100% refundable.

Unlimited Meal Plan
This plan is based on student feedback, the Unlimited Meal Plan allows you to enter the Fresh Food Company in Cheney Hall as often as you like-all day, every day. Plus, you receive $150 in DD and 3 Guest Meals per semester

The 19 Meal Plan
For those who like three square meals a day, this plan offers you all 19 meals served weekly. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, Monday-Friday and Brunch and Dinner on Saturday and Sunday. Plus, you receive $150 in DD and three Guest Meals per semester.

200 Block Meal Plan
Designed for those students who have a busy schedule, the 200 Block Meal Plan allows you to vary your meals eaten throughout the semester. For example: one week you may choose to eat only five meals, while another week you may eat at all nineteen meal periods. Plus, you receive $300 in DD and 3 Guest Meals per semester.

The 14 Meal Plan
For those students who are likely to eat an average of 2 meals a day, you have the flexibility to use your 14 meals as you wish during the week. Plus you receive $200 DD and 3 Guest Meals per semester. This is the minimum plan for residence students.

The 7 Meal Plan
For those who are likely to eat an average of one meal a day, you have the flexibility to use your seven meals as you wish during the week. Plus, you receive $300 in DD and 3 Guest Meals per semester.

The 3 Meal Plan
For those who are likely to eat only a few meals per week, you have the flexibility to use your three meals as you wish during the week. Plus you receive $400DD and three guest Meals per semester.

All Declining Dollar Plan
This plan provides complete flexibility and consists of all Declining Dollars, which may be used at any of the dining locations.
