USSWC
- US Sport and Wellness Center for Persons with Disabilities
The USSWC of Springfield College is committed to being a national leader in education, research and programming to enhance wellness and create and provide sport, fitness and recreation opportunities for people with physical disabilities and their families and communities.
Through education, the USSWC of Springfield College will provide leadership directed toward engaging the disabled community in wellness and sport, fitness and recreational opportunities. Through research, the USSWC of SC will contribute to the body of knowledge in disabled sport and fitness activities.
The success of the USSWC can be directly attributed to the Springfield College community. Through the efforts of the students and teachers at Springfield College, the Center has become a valuable component of the SC community.
While the College is responsible for the development and implementation of the USSWC's diverse programs, the success of those programs is due to students and faculty of Springfield College who have many years of experience in promoting, organizing, coaching, and competing in disabled sports.
The USSWC of Springfield College enables the education of the whole person, in spirit, mind, and body.
