Are you interested in a rewarding program of study that prepares you for work in rapidly growing areas of health care, within a people-serving industry? If you want to work with children, adults or elderly persons to enhance their quality of life, then the Rehabilitation and Disability Studies department at Springfield College is for you.
Our department offers a variety of courses of study designed to prepare graduates for the rapidly growing health care and human services fields. We currently offer three undergraduate majors:
- Communication Disorders
(CMDS)
- Health Science/General Studies
(HS/GS)
- Rehabilitation and Disability Studies
(RHDS)
- children who have special needs
- athletes recovering from injuries
- nutrition and public health
- pharmaceutical sales
- insurance industry or hospital administration
- persons with physical disabilities
- persons with hearing or visual disorders
- people with learning disabilities and differences
- people with addictions and families of people with addictions
- health related problems as the result of aging
- people with developmental disabilities
- adolescents and young adults

The goal of our majors is to prepare students to enter the health care professions at the bachelor's degree level, or to enter a graduate program. The curriculum is designed to provide a broad based, lifespan perspective. A thorough combination of theory, application and fieldwork provides students with an excellent foundation of knowledge and skills.
